So this year I moved from half marathons up to my first full marathon when I won a place in the VLM ballot. I trained well and finished in 3.59.25 achieving my B race target of sub 4 hours. Was I happy NO! I had hoped for and was certain I could run a sub 3.45, so a few weeks later I entered Manchester 2016.... I also entered the London ballot again, knowing the chances of getting a place 2 years in a row were extremely slim especially with the increase in applicants !!! 6 months later the yay or nay magazines are out and what plops through the letterbox but a 'you're in!' magazine. So I now have the dilema of 2 Spring marathons 2 weeks apart ......
I have decided that Manchester is a defiinite, it's a flat course and alot smaller event, so what about London? Thoughts at the moment are to run it if I achieve a GFA time at Manchester for London 17 .....
This blog will take you through the highs and lows of my training and culminate with my decision 2 in 2 weeks or a sensible 1 .....
